TOUR DETAILS

We start our day tour heading to Jeita Grotto, the Pearl of nature in Lebanon. Composed of 2 separate but interconnected limestone caves, you will have the opportunity to see:

Upper Grotto: A visit on foot with an exciting adventure over a distance of some 700 m from the    cave’s total length of 2200 m will stun the visitor with the spectacular beauty of the extraordinary amazing limestone formations.

Lower Grotto: A short dreamy boat trip over a distance of some 400 m from the cave’s total of 7800 m will captivate the visitor carrying him to another world full of peace and haunting splendor.

Cable Car: Enjoy a scenic ride on the charming Ropeway enabling you to savor the panoramic view of the surrounding abundant nature.

Then we will head to St Paul Cathedral followed by the Shrine of our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa which the most important shrine in the world honoring the Virgin Mary. From the top of the statue, you will admire a panoramic view of the Bay of Jounieh. On the way down, we will have lunch in a local restaurant while enjoying the magnificent view.

– If you’re up for an adrenaline rush, you’ll paraglide down to Jounieh Bay (Extra charge – should be booked in advance – subject to weather conditions)

After lunch we head to the oldest city in the world “Byblos”. You will explore the old souks, the ancient harbor, the Crusader Castle and the 100 million years old fossils museum.

SAINT PAUL CATHEDRAL

Founded in 1947 and inaugurated in 1998, the Christian Unity Cathedral representing Catholic and Orthodox churches will blow your mind with its main dome and magnificent mosaics.

OUR LADY OF LEBANON

Discover the 20-ton Bronze statue of Virgin Mary erected in 1907 on top of a hill at 650 m above sea level. Inaugurated in 1908, it has become a major pilgrimage destination for Christians and Muslims from all over the world.

BYBLOS (JBAIL)

The first inhabited city in the world. A Mediterranean city at the coast of Lebanon. It is believed to have been occupied first between 8800 and 7000 BC, it was built as the first city in Phoenicia. It is a UNESCOWorld Heritage Site. A pretty fishing port with an ancient harbor, medieval town center, Crusader-era castle and atmospheric archaeological site. The city of the oldest fish fossils from 100 million years ago. It’s the city of the letters.
