SAINT CHARBEL STATUE
Located
in Faraya 20 Km from Beirut at 1500 m altitude, St Charbel statue of 23 meters
height, 9.3 meters width and 40 tons weight made of Fiberglass stands there
since August 2017. The monument corresponds to a wish and a vow. A pledge by Faraya mayor and the vow of little
Michel’s parents who recovered from meningitis led to the joint project.
MZAAR KFARDEBIAN
Located 25 Km from Beirut at 1850 m altitude, Mzaar is a ski area in Lebanon and the largest ski resort in the Middle East. It is located one hour away from Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. It is also referred to as Ouyoune el Simane.
MASSAYA WINERY
Opened with a glamorous fanfare in july 2014, Faqra is now the showpiece of Massaya, situated in Faqra, Kfardebian at the footsteps of the ski resort of Mzaar, Ouyoun el Simane. Created at 1,700 metres, high in the Mount Lebanon range, this is a stunning new enterprise with extensive cellars carved into the mountain rock where thousands of bottles of vintage red wines mature
FAQRA ROMAN RUINS
The Temple of Adonis is partly dug in the rocky platform of Faqra, so it’s partly a rock sanctuary. It does not rest on a platform. In front of the shrine, to the east, is a large, square court with an altar, surrounded by a colonnade, and there’s another altar standing in front of the entrance. The square court was surrounded on three sides by a portico in the Doric building order. Several columns were sufficiently well-preserved to be re-erected.
